First I would like to give recognition to Guy VA7GV
for the great j-poles that he makes. He got me interested so I gathered plans
from the Internet and started in on the project.
I made some "modifications" and
came up with an antenna that works great.
These specs will tune the pole at 147.360 MHz flat match.
And since it's an odd multiple the jpole will also work on 70cm no problem.
With one other mod it can be easily used portable.

I found that after cutting all of the pieces and getting them in place,
then laying the completed pole on a table with weights across the elements,
when you solder it all together it's nice and flat and straight.

When soldering the center wire onto the SO-239 do so with as little
heat as possible and as fast as possible. Other wise you will melt the plastic in the fitting.
